Guardian Ad Litem

A Guardian Ad Litem is an attorney appointed by the court to investigate what solutions would be the best interests of minor children. 

GALs are most commonly appointed when two spouses who can not come to an agreement on child custody and visitation.  The GAL does not represent the mother or the father.  The GALs responsibility is to make a recommendation to the court for the best interest of the child or children.

Scott A. Sloss is a certified Guardian Ad Litem. Local judges can appoint him to represent the best interests of the children.
